This event location offers a large, flexible hall for 150 to 550 people with state-of-the-art technology and exceptional comfort in a “monastic ambiance.” Combined with views of our FIFA football pitches or the Lutter stream, spacious terraces, a small forecourt, and very special perspectives open up for guests. The symbiosis of the monastery charm preserved to this day with modern, European flair gives this venue its unique atmosphere for large conferences, congresses, trade fairs, banquets, or gala events.

The main building of Hotel-Residence Klosterpforte houses our banquet room with conservatory and terrace. The Klosterforum is directly connected and can be incorporated for large events.

Directly at the monastery gate are the conference rooms, equipped with the latest technology for all requirements for successful meetings. The monastic atmosphere invites positive exchange of ideas and provides the perfect setting for your conference.

A true historic showpiece in the region is our Alte Abtei. It is located in the extensive gardens of the Cistercian monastery built in 1185. Today it offers space for exceptional conference and banquet rooms with an adjacent park terrace. Our monastery cellar with its own brewery and the monastery cooking school are also located in the Alte Abtei.

Within the venerable walls of the Alte Abtei of Marienfeld Monastery, a cooking school has been established for enthusiastic amateur chefs, distinguished by professionalism, state-of-the-art kitchen technology, and exceptional ambiance. We offer themed courses, workshops, and incentives as corporate events; the selection of cooking courses is extensive and can be adapted to completely
individual requirements. We take into account seasonal products and special regional specialties as well as corresponding wines for the respective dishes.

Nestled in a typical Westphalian farmyard is our rustic Tenne. The large Deele with its galleries and forecourt offers ample space and individual possibilities for hosting your event. Additional tents or individual pavilions can be attached to the Deele gate to expand the event area according to your requirements. A private terrace at the Tenne and located in the hotel park offers an idyllic spot to welcome your guests. At the conclusion of the event, there are short distances to the comfortable hotel rooms of the adjacent Landhaus.

A private lake with swimming pond, sun terraces, and connected spa area ensure a restful, relaxing stay. Ready for the island? If you wish to gather in a small, convivial group, we recommend our Fischerhütte with its own island and very idyllic ambiance. Furnished in Westphalian comfort, with a conservatory bar, a small courtyard with barbecue hut and shelter, as well as a large lake terrace with beer garden, the Fischerhütte offers a very special flair.

The birthplace of the renowned Westphalian painter Johann Christoph Rincklake (1764 – 1813) has stood on the grounds of Hotel-Residence Klosterpforte since December 2006. The picturesque half-timbered house was relocated from its original location in Harsewinkel to Marienfeld, lovingly restored, and rebuilt (almost) in its original condition. The historic building now houses its own registry office room, a large Deele with small side alcoves and a bar, as well as a sunny terrace by the sports hotel lake.
