For over 20 years, the football tournament at Hotel-Residence Klosterpforte has been an institution. Every year on German Unity Day, it’s time to: play football for a good cause. Employees from 27 companies compete against 9 celebrity-studded all-star teams featuring numerous former Bundesliga players. With its unique mix of sport and charity, the event offers a one-of-a-kind experience and generates five-figure donation proceeds year after year. Free entry to the tournament, the colourful hustle and bustle around the pitch, and the F-youth tournament held in parallel, the “AKADEMINIA Kids Cup”, attract up to 3,000 spectators to Marienfeld every year and provide entertainment for the whole family.
